I've gotten on to her a few times when we are out in public and someone asks her name and she says "Dorofee." Like after church a few weeks ago when the head Pastor came up to us in the parking lot and he asked Hassie Clare what her name was.
For some reason, I just thought she did this at home or when she is with me. Imagine my surprise this morning when her teacher at Mother's Day Out mentioned how mad Hassie Clare gets when they don't call her Dorofee. Her teacher said the boys in the class are always saying "Do we really have to call her Dorofee?" I think I turned 2 shades of red during this conversation.
I've said it before ... this little girl is going to be something spectacular someday. I envision her protesting on the White House steps and being part of some right-wing liberalist cause or on stage singing, dancing or acting.
Every morning since the girls started ballet and tap, Hassie Clare asks me if she gets to go on stage today.
She is so eclectic and free spirited. I admire and love this about her. I also have a feeling that it won't be the first time her actions makes me blush!
